Mud Cloth is a fabric-making tradition born in the west Saharan region of Mali. A fabric of significant cultural meaning in Mali, the Mud Cloth was historically created by both men and women. The men would prepare the fabric, and the women would oversee the intricate dying process using mud, leaves and branches to create the detailed designs. These Black-and-White Mudcloths feature simple geometric designs. These traditional fabrics can be used as décor, fashion or wall art.
