Black Friday and Small Business Saturday were hugely successful for Theory! On Friday we offered gift bags for the first 10 customers and a store-wide discount of 25% off. On Saturday that discount carried over & we held a trunk show with two local artisans, Old Mill Woodcraft and Erika Eckerson. Old Mill Woodcraft creates stylish and handcrafted wood pieces using reclaimed lumber and naturally fallen trees & brought tables, cigar holders, and butcher blocks along with examples of other pieces for order. Erika is a news anchor turned painter whose style “includes bold, broad brushstrokes, and geometric patterns.” She brought a range of framed and unframed prints and canvases! Both artists were well received and we loved getting to work with and support them!
Thursday December 1st was our Holiday Open House, which was our way of officially kicking-off and celebrating the holidays. We enjoyed yummy nibbles, a festive cranberry cocktail, and a trunk show with the lovely local artist, Evelyn Henson. (She and another brand did a trunk show at Theory back in August, so we were thrilled to have her come again!) Evelyn brought lots of her fun prints, mugs, and greeting cards & enjoyed mixing and mingling with everyone! We also had a few great giveaways of a gift card, wine bag, holiday platter, and Theory candle & picked some very lucky winners. Overall it was a spirited night & we’re thankful for everyone that dropped by!
